This file was previously connected to William Baber that lived in Indiana.  It appears more likely that John S. Baber came to Illinois through a route through Kentucky and we currently do not know where he belongs. The most likely family is that of Isaac Baber and Sally Tapscott or George Baber and Mary Maxey
